LERN Faculty Club |
More than 50 colleges and universities have already joined the
LERN Faculty Club, offering free online professional development
for your entire faculty. Staff and faculty associated with
LERN Faculty Club institutional members receive a substantial
discount and preferential admission to the Faculty Development

About LERN |
The Learning Resources Network (LERN) is a national education association serving around 1,000 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada. Begun in 1974, LERN is a nonprofit tax exempt educational organization. Information, training and consulting services include online courses for faculty; the Certified Online Instructor (COI) designation; and the LERN Faculty Club, online professional development events for faculty in higher education.

Transportation Information |
Savannah is served by the Savannah/Hilton Head International
Airport, located twenty minutes from the hotel. The airport is
serviced by low-cost air carrier Airtran, as well as American,
Continental, Delta, Northwest, United and US Airways. Oneway
taxi service to the hotel is currently between $25 and $30.

Schedule |
The Faculty Development Institute begins with optional activities
on Sunday, February 22, including a casual reception in
the hotel Sunday evening, February 22. The Institute continues
all day Monday and Tuesday, and ends at noon on Wednesday,
February 25.

Fees & Benefits |
The fee includes one optional preconference seminar, the
Sunday evening reception, breaks, lunch on Monday and
Tuesday, and breakfast on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Also included are PowerPoint slide shows to train your faculty.
The registration fee is $895 for the first person. Member
discount: if your institution is a member of the LERN Faculty
Club, the fee is just $595.
Bring a second person from your institution. The second person
fee is just $595.

Applications |
In order to insure maximum participation, interaction and
individual attention, attendance at the Institute is limited. LERN
reserves the right to decline applications from those who would
not most benefit from the Institute.
|
|
Cancellations & Substitutions |
Substitutions are available when requested in writing. Cancellations
must be requested in writing. Cancellations made 30 days or
more prior to the event will receive a full refund. Within 30
days, a $50 administrative fee will be charged. No refund if
cancellation is within 14 days of the event. Social event fees are
non-refundable.

Credit Terms |
Organizational purchase orders will be accepted in lieu of payment
to hold your place. Our credit terms are net 30 days. All fees,
including those for social events, must be paid in full in order to
attend the Institute.

Hotel Information |
The Hilton Savannah Desoto is located in the heart of the historic
district, 15 East Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401. The room
rate is only $159 single/double, plus applicable taxes. Make your
room reservations by calling 800-426-8483. To quality for the
group rate, make your reservation by Friday, January 23, and
specify that you are attending the LERN Institute in Savannah
Georgia, at the Hilton Savannah Desoto.
