| About LERN |
| The Learning Resources Network (LERN) is an international education association serving 1,000 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada. Begun in 1974, LERN is a nonprofit tax exempt educational organization. Information, training and consulting services include online courses for faculty; the Certified Online Instructor (COI) designation; and the LERN Faculty Club, online professional development events for faculty in higher education. |

| Transportation Information |
| Savannah is served by the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, located twenty minutes from the hotel. The airport is serviced by low-cost air carrier Airtran, as well as American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United and US Airways. One-way taxi service to the hotel is currently between $25 and $30. |

| Schedule |
| The Certified Faculty Development Institute begins with optional activities on Sunday, February 21, including a casual reception in the hotel Sunday evening, February 21. The Institute continues all day Monday and Tuesday, and ends at noon on Wednesday, February 24. The optional CFD exam will be given the morning of Thursday, February 25. |

| In order to insure maximum participation, interaction and individual attention, attendance at the Institute is limited. LERN reserves the right to decline applications from those who would not most benefit from the Institute. |

| Credit Terms |
Organizational purchase orders will be accepted in lieu of payment to hold your place except for hotel – see below. Our credit terms are net 30 days. All fees, including those for social events, must be paid
in full in order to attend the Institute. |

| Hotel Information |
The Hilton Savannah Desoto is located in the heart of the historic district, 15 East Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401. The room rate is only $159 single/double, plus applicable taxes. Make your room reservations by calling 800-426-8483. To qualify for the group rate specify that you are attending the LERN Institute in Savannah Georgia, at the Hilton Savannah Desoto.
Please note: A portion of the room rate is used to offset Institute expenses. Also, the hotel does not accept purchase orders for payment. |

| Cancellations & Substitutions |
| Substitutions are available when requested in writing. All cancellations must be made in writing. Email is acceptable. Substitutions are accepted at any time, but must also be in writing. There will be no refunds after Jan 22, 2010. This applies for social events as well. |
